QAR 5600 na offer OK ba?

Would a salary of QAR 5600 or (USD 1500)+ free accomodations + transportation + (food allowance under negotiation) be enough for a Site Engineer Position?

The Company I will be working for is Prominent Technical Trading and Engineering based in Doha. Can somebody who knows this company give me more details about the company. wala akong makitang website ng kompanyang ito eh.

Maraming salamat sa mga kababayang sasagot sa mga tanong ko.

Mabuhay kayong LAHAT dyan.
Mabuhay ang mga PINOY.

Quite okay...

Unless we are being too greedy or wanted to have an extravagant lifestyle, QAR.5,600 basic is quite alright. With this salary, your family can have a decent life plus savings.

You just have to look closely at the future you're going to have with your employer. Meaning, review all their policies and procedures & see if they have a very good corporate vision. This is the only way you can be assured that the company is stable and can really take care of their employees. If they don't have a written policy and procedure, then you'll be in for a lot of surprises & disappointments for sure...

I'll see what I can find about this company & I'll let you know. But can you tell me how you knew about this company & who are their agency in the Philippines? I can ask some friends at the Philippine Embassy about the standing of this company since they should have recruitment records kept.

Thanks ronona40

Thanks for the advice. My documents and papers are already currently under process, I'm just waiting for my visa, work permit and contract for signing. I would be checking out all their policies and procedures as soon as I gain access on this documents.

I only came to know of the company when I was interviewed.

I would highly appreciate it if you would be able to find out more info or FYI's regarding Prominent Technical Trading and Engineering.

Again... Thanks for your reply ronona40
It was a big help :)

Most Welcome

I did some research but surprisingly, I could not find this Prominent Technical Trading and Engineering. If you can give me their phone number, I would gladly go & visit them to check them out. But of course, I'll go there for other reasons & maybe I can talk to some of their Filipino staffs there.

Some of the policies & procedures you may want to ask them is on "performance evaluation", "employee development (training)", & anything that details terms & conditions for salary increment. Companies who has these usually are good companies & puts the welfare of employees at the forefront.

I would also recommend visiting http://www.qatarliving.com/group/filipino-expatriates-in-qatar & join the Filipino Expat group forum. I'm sure you'll find interesting info there & members like me would be more than willing to help you answer more of your questions.
